Sidelights

Sean Sheehan is the author of a series of geographical reference books for both adults and children. Sheehan's nonfiction works for younger readers are published by several well-known educational publishers and include the books Malta, Illustrated Encyclopedia of Ancient Greece, and Cameroon. "The clearly presented, easy-to-understand texts discuss government, economy, people, lifestyles, religion, language, arts and leisure, festivals, and food," stated Susan Shaver in a review of Sheehan's Malta for School Library Journal. In addition to geographical reference books, Sheehan has also ventured into modern history with the titles The Technology of World War II and D-Day, June 6, 1944, which focus on one of the greatest wars of the twentieth century, while Ancient Greece draws young researchers into a more ancient but equally complex world.
