Gary L. Zacharias Biography (1946-)

Sidelights

Gary L. Zacharias told SATA: "I teach writing for a living. But I write because of my love for the written word. It is a pleasure to see a blank page transformed by my words into something others may learn from." Zacharias's reference books on the twentieth century and the Bill of Rights are aimed at students who are doing research and preliminary studies of the subjects at hand. In her Booklist review of Events That Changed the World, 1900-1920, Stephanie Zvirin stated that "there's plenty to intrigue history students, who will relish seeing disparate pieces of history slide smoothly together." School Library Journal contributor Dana McDougald said that The Bill of Rights "brings the historical background to life."
