Susan Guy (1948-)
Sidelights
Susan Guy told SATA: "I was born and raised in Michigan, and saw Wyoming for the first time in 1991 when I traveled to Yellowstone on vacation with my husband. I fell in love with the light and color of the West, and since then have made it the subject of my paintings. I now reside in Buffalo, Wyoming, and am a signature member of the American Academy of Women Artists.
"I enjoy painting many subjects, including figures and animals. My goal with each painting is to evoke some emotion in the viewer. By creating a strong, visually exciting composition using light, shadow, and color, I hope to give the sense of sharing a stolen moment of time."
