Marc J. Stockwell-Moniz told SATA: "My primary motive for writing is to educate our children about the early American heroes who helped found the nation. Many of these heroes are the forgotten Americans who need to be remembered, and their accomplishments need to be taught and learned.

"My patriotism and love of the United States has inspired me to write, as well as my own family, that played a very important part in the American Revolution. My fourth great grandfather, Sergeant Daniel Stockwell, Jr. was General George Washington's sergeant major during the siege of Boston.

"My writing consists of paper and pencil with a note book that I later transfer to my computer. I carry a paper and pencil at all times so I can fulfill any ideas instantly. I hope to achieve the goal of educating our children about the American Revolution and the sacrifices that our ancestors made in founding the United States.

"The writers who have inspired me the most are the current American Revolutionary War scholars such as: Thomas Fleming, John Farling, Richard Ketchum, David Fischer, and David McCullough. The writings of these individuals are very important to the nation. These writers explain in detail the events and personalities of the subject matter. They are the best writers who explain the American Revolution and are the 'keepers of the flame.'

"My advice to any potential author is 'Just Do It!' Just do it like I did. Start writing today."
